about
Balenbouche Estate
Balenbouche Estate is a beautiful historic property, retreat venue, organic farm, and family home.
It’s a celebrated guest house for nature lovers—both locally and internationally—known for its laid-back, rustic charm and deep connection to the land.
The estate’s sprawling grounds include ancient trees, lush tropical vegetation, fruit orchards, open pastures, a yoga barn, and an 18th-century sugar mill, with footpaths leading to two secluded, wild beaches.
What makes Balenbouche truly special is the Lawaetz family, who live on-site and open their historic plantation house to visitors. Their warm hospitality and commitment to sustainability, health, and well-being make this a place people return to again and again.

A NOTE about your stay
The estate is truly a step back to a simpler time. In keeping with the historic nature of the property, the family has opted to take an eco-conscious approach.
As such, natural air flow, standing fans, and mosquito nets will help to keep you comfortable. (in other words, there are no window screens or air conditioning).
Keeping with the eco-friendly approach, hot water is courtesy of the sun via solar power.
The property is magical - it's truly a peaceful, quiet, and naturally beautiful getaway from modern distractions.

about
Niedra
I'm a lifetime student of movement within the body.
I started with a passion and dream to be a ballet dancer and went on to become a yoga and Pilates teacher while studying support modalities that enhance physical & mental wellbeing.
Now in my 70’s I have been teaching for close to 50 years.
I practice what I preach.
My life’s mission is to help women stretch their edge. I hold the vision that they are capable of far more than the status quo, we just need to figure out how.
Many of the women I work with have a secret yearning to step into something new, a new version of what they do now, a new career, or become more connected to their inner true self.
I also serve as a consultant to other teachers with client and business questions, supporting them in enhancing their teaching skills.
This is not merely a relaxing vacation — it’s a sacred reclamation…
A return to your natural rhythm. A deep breath for your body and soul.
